Important: By participating in the Contest, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules and represent that you satisfy all of the eligibility requirements below.

OFFICIAL RULES

Sponsor. The “Sponsor” of the Contest is PetSmart Charities, Inc., 19601 N. 27th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85027 USA.

Eligibility. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. The Contest is open only to approved Sponsor Adoption Partners (“Adoption Partners”), located in the 50 United States (and the District of Columbia) and Puerto Rico. Adoption Partners must be an approved Adoption Partner during the entire Contest Period and on the date the winners are announced to be eligible to win.

Contest Period. The “Contest Period” shall commence on August 10, 2024 and shall continue through September 10, 2024.

How to Enter the Contest. All eligible Adoption Partner must submit their adoptions completed at PetSmart Stores during the Content Period via Adoptions Made Easy (AME); by doing so, Adoption Partners are automatically entered for the Contest during the Contest Period.

Winning Criteria & Prizes.

The One (1) Adoption Partner with the most adoptions at a PetSmart store during the Contest Period submitted via AME will win a $10,000 donation.
The Five (5) Adoption Partners with the most DOG adoptions at a PetSmart store during the Contest Period submitted via AME will win a $5,000 donation.
The Five (5) Adoption Partners with the most CAT adoptions at a PetSmart store during the Contest Period submitted via AME will a win $5,000 donation.

Winners will be notified via email on or before September 30, 2024. Donations will be deposited by October 31, 2024 upon verification of eligibility.

Odds of Winning a Contest Prize. Odds are not applicable due to this being a Contest and not a random drawing giveaway.

Disclaimer. Sponsor and its Related Parties (defined below) will not be responsible for: (a) any late, lost, misrouted, garbled or distorted or damaged transmissions or entries; (b) telephone, electronic, hardware, software, network, Internet, or other computer- or communications-related or technical malfunctions or failures; (c) any Contest disruptions, injuries, losses or damages caused by events beyond the control of Sponsor or by non-authorized human intervention; (d) damage caused by computer virus or otherwise resulting to any computer from entrant's participation in the Contest or access of the any websites related to the Contest, whether human, mechanical or electronic; (e) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Contest; (f) incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by Internet users or by any of the programming or equipment associated with or used in the Contest; or (g) any acts or omissions of PetSmart, including any store closers or restrictions on the in-store adoption program.

Release. By entering the Contest, entrants release Sponsor and any of its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents and representatives (collectively, “Related Parties”) from any liability whatsoever, and waive all causes of action related to claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Contest or with the acceptance, possession or use of any prize (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, losses and damages related to personal injury, death, or damage to or loss or destruction of property), whether under a theory of contract, tort (including negligence), warranty or otherwise (“Claims”). By entering the Contest, entrants also agree to fully indemnify Sponsor and its Related Parties and hold each of them harmless from any and all Claims of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Contest, including any use or enjoyment of any prize.

General. Entrants agree to be bound by these rules and by the decisions of Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to change these rules or terminate the Contest at any time. Entrants who: violate these rules; who violate any law, rule or regulation in connection with participation in the Contest; who tamper with the operation of the Contest; or who engage in any conduct that is detrimental or unfair to Sponsor, the Contest or any other entrant; are subject to disqualification. Sponsor decisions with respect to the Contest are final and binding. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsors in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the state of Arizona, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the state of Arizona or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the state of Arizona.

Use of Entrant Name, Likeness, etc. Except where prohibited by law, by participating in this Contest, you hereby consent to Sponsor’s use of use your name, image and voice (“Likeness”) in its internal communications and publications and on social media and other marketing platforms (the “Media”) without compensation to you. You hereby permit and authorize Sponsor to use, reuse, edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish, display, distribute or broadcast your Likeness at any time in connection with the Media in all cases, without a requirement to notify you. You waive any right of privacy associated with your Likeness in connection with the Media as well as the right to inspect or approve the finished product, including written or electronic copy, wherein your Likeness appears. You understand and agree that the Media is the property of Sponsor.

Privacy. Any personally identifiable information collected during your participation in this Contest will be used by Sponsor and its agents for purposes of the proper administration and fulfillment of the Contest as described in these Official Rules, and in accordance with Sponsor's Privacy Policy, posted https://petsmartcharities.org/privacy-policy and as allowed by law.

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. The 2024 PetSmart Charities & Hill’s Pet Adoption Contest is Sponsored by PetSmart Charities, Inc. Open to approved Adoption Partners located in the 50 U.S., D.C., and Puerto Rico (“Eligibility Area”). Begins on 8/10/24 and ends 9/10/24. 2024 PetSmart Charities & Hill’s Pet Adoption Contest ("Contest")

Contest Period. The “Contest Period” shall commence on May 20, 2024 and shall continue through May 26, 2024.

Winning Criteria & Prizes.

The Adoption Partner with the most adoptions at a PetSmart store during the Contest Period submitted via AME will win a $15,000 donation.
The Adoption Partner with the second most adoptions at a PetSmart store during the Contest Period submitted via AME will win a $10,000 donation.
The Adoption Partner with the most senior pet* adoptions at a PetSmart store during the Contest Period submitted via AME will a win $5,000 donation.

Winners will be notified via email on or before May 31, 2024. Donations will be deposited by June 28, 2024 upon verification of eligibility.

*Senior pets are those pets born in May 2017 or earlier.

Sponsor: PetSmart Charities, Inc., 19601 N. 27th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85027 (“Sponsor”)

Promotion Period: Begins at 12:00 a.m. PT September 19, 2022 and ends at 11:59 p.m. PT on November 30, 2022

Eligibility: Open to all approved Sponsor Adoption Partners (“Adoption Partner”) located in the 50 United States and D.C.. Adoption Partners must be an approved Adoption Partner during the entire Promotion Period to be eligible to win.

How to Enter: Any Adoption Partner with a minimum of one associate completing the e-Learning and submitting a survey via Survey Monkey are entered for a chance to win (an “Entry”). There is a maximum of one Entry per Adoption Partner.

We are deeply focused on the health and well-being of our associates, pet parents, partners, guests, and communities where we live and work. To help protect against the spread of COVID-19, we ask that everyone follow the below expectations:

Adoption partners must coordinate with their store leader to determine:
- Where adoptions can be facilitated on PetSmart premises;
- When (the date and time of day) your organization plans to be at the store (note that some store hours have changed); and
- What physical setup your organization must provide in order to facilitate adoptions and ensure proper social distancing.

Adoption partners, volunteers, and Associates must adhere to local regulatory mandates, and respect cleanliness and safety standards during the event at all times.
All adoptions must be completed in Adoptions Made Easy (AME).
- For more information about AME, read through the FAQs here.
During adoption activities and events, adoption partner staff and volunteers are responsible for the safety of all the pets under their care.
Partners and store leadership should work together when planning to hold parking lot events.

Rabbit Adoptions

In March 2023, we allowed rabbit adoptions to resume in US PetSmart stores located in states where the rabbit hemorrhagic disease virus type 2 (RHDV2) Emergency Use USDA-authorized Medgene vaccine is approved. The Medgene vaccine has since been approved in all 50 states and Puerto Rico.

To participate in adoptions, the following is required:

Rabbits must be fully vaccinated against rabbit hemorrhagic disease virus type 2 (RHDV2) by the Emergency Use USDA-authorized Medgene vaccine prior to arrival in a PetSmart store.
The vaccine is administered in two doses, 21 days apart. Full immunization is reached 14 days following the second dose.
Rabbits must be quarantined during the five-week immunization period. That means they should not come in contact with unvaccinated rabbits or be handled/held by individuals that may have come in contact with unvaccinated rabbits.
Rabbits must be monitored for a minimum of 14 days following the second dose prior to coming into the PetSmart store. Proof of vaccination must be brought to a PetSmart store for adoption events.
Records of vaccination must be kept with the pet at all times. These records will be given to the new pet parent upon adoption.
Adoption partners must provide habitats for the rabbits and rabbits may not stay in the store overnight.
A representative from the Adoption Partner group must be present to conduct the adoption in-store.

Face Coverings

Face coverings are not required in PetSmart stores by associates, adoption partners, or pet parents, except where required by state, provincial, local, tribal, or territorials laws, rules, and regulations. Associates, adoption partners, or pet parents who prefer to wear a face covering are welcome and supported in doing so.

Health Self-Assessments

We ask everyone to self-evaluate whether they pose an undue risk to the health and safety of others before coming to any PetSmart location/facility by performing a health self-assessment.

Prior to coming to any PetSmart location/facility all partners must perform a health self-assessment by checking for any or a combination of the below symptoms that have been outlined by the CDC that may be related to COVID-19 (Note: this list is not all inclusive).

Cough
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Fever
Chills
Muscle or body aches
Sore throat
New loss of taste or smell
Any other symptoms, including but not limited to, congestion, runny nose, fatigue, headache, gastrointestinal symptoms like nausea, vomiting or diarrhea

Any adoption partner experiencing any or a combination of the above symptoms or feels sick, is not permitted to come to any PetSmart location/facility.

If an adoption partner is not experiencing any or a combination of the above symptoms during the at-home health self-assessment, after arriving at the PetSmart location, they must advise a leader that they performed their self-assessment and are not experiencing any of the outlined symptoms.

If an adoption partner starts to experience any of the outlined symptoms or begins to feel sick while at any PetSmart location/facility, they must immediately notify a leader and go home.

Any adoption partner who is currently being tested for COVID-19, has tested positive for COVID-19 and/or has been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 cannot come to any PetSmart location/facility.

Government Regulatory orders that have been issued in response to COVID-19 may supersede these requirements.

For example, some stores will not be able to accommodate your organization and its pets, stores may have a limited capacity, or temperature checks on your volunteers and staff may be required. It is your responsibility to ensure that you and your staff and volunteers comply with the orders from your state and local government. Any violation of any PetSmart Charities Policies and Procedures may be grounds for suspension or termination as an adoption partner.

Additionally, all 7-Day Cat Center adoption partners are now required to send staff and/or volunteers to care for the cats in the center no less than three times a week. If you are unable to meet this requirement, you will be asked to remove the pets as soon as possible.

We recognize that the unpredictability of the pandemic has generated its own set of challenges for the animal welfare community and for pet adoptions.

Your safety, and the safety of associates, pet parents, and pets will always be our top priority. We remain committed to sharing updates about the adoption program and future National Adoption events as they become available.

We are proud of the work you are doing, and we are grateful for your partnership. Thank you for loving pets as much as we do.
